Happy Weekend!

I am alive! Seriously. I know I have been MIA for a while, but life has been incredibly busy - in the best way possible. Work has been taking up a lot of time, but I have managed to squeeze in some fun outings with old and new friends, face timing the family back at home, plus a visit from a college friend last weekend. See what I mean - crazy goodness?! What are you up to this weekend? I've got plans helping a friend move into her new apartment. Michelle - this gives us huge brownie friend points right?! Have a great weekend and enjoy these fun posts from around the web . . .

blue hues

I'm torturing you with yet another warm seasoned post. Can you tell I'm sick of the cold? Hues of blues and whites keep summer looking fresh and natural. Now get me to a beach pronto!

spring is in the air . . . until the next cold wind hits

My apologies for being absent for over a week, but life has just been life. So here are a few things that's been going on in the city . . .
+ making new friends at work has been such a relief. not only is it important to love going to work every morning,  but enjoying the people by your side is equally important.
+ we were teased again over the weekend and yesterday with beautiful weather. the countdown to spring and summer has officially begun! anyone else out there love daylights saving time? I know we lose an hour of beauty sleep, but getting out of work and walking home in a sunset is glorious! and now we're back to cold temps again, darn it.
+  I have found a trick in making your day a little brighter - fresh blooms. okay, so maybe not a trick, but having fresh flowers on my desk or at home make a space so much more inviting.
+ lesson learned - always dress for day to night because you never know what adventures you'll get into
+ getting my summer clothes shipped up to manhattan is another to-do check mark that I am thrilled about. I can't wait to dote skirts and dresses all season long.
+ a little morning devotional has been so inspirational and a healthy dose of good vibes for the day

that one time I went to Boston and took five pictures

Oops I did it again.
I've really got to work on this whole taking pictures thing when I go on fun trips.
Michelle and I got into Boston Friday night and the birthday festivities were full speed ahead for the next two days. Saturday was spent walking the historic streets of Boston, Quincy Market, raw oysters and clam chowder, and a stroll down Newbury Street. Later that evening, our planned dinner was a bust after there was a two and a half hour wait (they don't take reservations?!) After a walk around the block, we stumbled on Kitchen - which was so delicious! It was a rustic, quant little restaurant with brick walls and candles (does anyone else die over a pretty brick wall?) It was the perfect get away and I can't wait for it to warm up and go back (this city girl isn't used to the cold just yet).
we followed parts of the Freedom Trail
